An often-asked question with the common response being that a home inspection helps you make one of the biggest financial decisions of your life.
While having a home inspection might help you negotiate the price, there is more than just the financial concern. What about the peace of mind of being SAFE in your new home?
What if you forgo a home inspection and…
· your deck collapses because it was improperly constructed by a DIY owner, and you, your family members, and/or friends get hurt?
· someone gets shocked or electrocuted because the electrical system lacks ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) or wiring was incorrectly done by a DIY owner trying to save a few dollars?
· someone trips and falls on uneven pavement or stairs or due to something as simple as an improper or missing handrail?
Imagine the long-term effects of mold growth due to moisture issues that might have been revealed during an inspection.
Did you test the auto-reverse function of the garage door opener during your showing? (You don’t want to learn it doesn’t work when the door closes on a child.)
These are just a few things a trained and experienced home inspector might discover during a detailed home inspection. While there is no guarantee every issue will be uncovered by a home inspector, having a home inspection will give you the comfort knowing what you’re buying.
Only you can answer the question whether or not you need a home inspection, but given the benefits, why would you not want one?
Knowledge is power.

Detailed Home Inspections, LLC is proud to be a USMC veteran-owned and operated business. I am an experienced Professional Home Inspector who enjoys educating clients about home systems, informing them of observed issues, and providing maintenance tips to keep the home functioning safely, efficiently, and to get as much life out of the systems as possible.
You will get an honest and objective perspective of the condition of the home.
Following my inspection, I will walk through the home with you and show you the issues that were observed. I will explain things in terms you will understand and take the time to answer your questions. Rest assured I will not be rushing my time with you to get to another appointment. You will receive an easy-to-read customized report with pictures. The report is not generated by a third-party application.
I am available on short notice so you don’t need to wait 3, 4, 5 or more days to get your inspection. That’s not fair to you or the seller. Time is of the essence.
